McClelland Gallery Visit

Earlier this month a group of us took a volunteer guided tour of the Centre 5 exhibition at McClelland Gallery. Our guide - Sue - gave a passionate account of the contribution made by the influx of artists and ideas after the second war. At this distance in time the actual Centre 5 principles don’t seem so radical, nor so different to the work of their contemporaries - but certainly the period was a fantastic opening of ideas.

Thank you to Jude Bridges-Tull for organising yet another stimulating outing.

(The photographs are mainly from the sculpture park -
I didn't get good shots in the gallery - you should have been there ;-))

Two photos of the wonderful art in the grounds at McClelland.

It’s worth a visit inside but especially take a walk around the grounds for a creative delight.
