From the President

I did manage to get away on a holiday
the Pinnacles in Western Australia

On the surface the life of the ASV is pretty quiet at the moment. Beneath the smooth waters we are paddling furiously.

Each of you will be out in the studio developing your own stories for our times... I’m inspired by the work I catch up with on Instagram. Well done all of you for keeping the flame alight. There are quite a few outside exhibition opportunities available and some potential commissions have been offered through the newsletter - do let us know whether you have sold or been offered work out of any of these.

Upcoming ASV Exhibitions and a Report on the Annual and Awards Exhibition

Here we remind you of our current program - stay in touch as opportunities may arise soon.

Art on the Hill

Paul Cacioli is getting Art on the Hill going again this year.
He has been working with Mont De Lancey to see how to attract more people to the exhibition as well as to Mont Delancey. They have come up with an idea to incorporate the exhibition with a Spring Festival. The title of the festival is Mont Delancey Spring Festival – Art and Artisans.
The Art on the Hill Exhibition will run from the 20th to the 24th of September and the Spring Festival will run on the 23rd and 24th of September. The Spring Festival will include artisans such as bakers, brewers, distillers, wood working, blacksmithing, leather makers, etc. It will also include some family friendly activities.

Other Opportunities and Interesting Art

In this section you will find

- as advertised - lots of opportunities both exhibitions to enter and art to experience. Remember to send anything you find interesting to the newsletter: newsletter@sculptorsvictoria.asn.au

Sculptor contact for heritage project.

I write to your society in the hope that I might make contact with a sculptor who may be interested in replicating a bronze sculpture from a memorial dedicated to the short life of Henri Tovell, a French orphan boy who was cared for on the Western Front by No 4 Squadron AFC during the Great War. He became in many respects, the Unit’s unofficial mascot.

New Exhibition

Sioux Dollman and Shlomit Moria are proud to present our collaborated exhibition, ‘Balance’.

Take the unique opportunity to explore Sioux's optimistic paintings, and Shlomit's darker sculptures that show both the ‘balance’ within and allow yourself the time to immerse and interact with life's greatest juggling act.
