Letter from the President

Gillian Govan
President ASV
Hi all fellow sculptors

Well the silly season is upon us but it is a good time to start the Christmas list.
Dear Santa
I would like vouchers for foundries, Bunnings, Dalchem, a new angle grinder, a set of chisels...

How easy we are to buy for. Then we will be all ready for a full sculpting year.

I am very positive about next year after our Christmas get together when old and new members had such a good time passing on information and techniques in between the food and drink of course! Also next year, now that lots of problems have been solved, Herring Island should be great followed by the The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. Watch this space we may even have some news about another small exhibition. It is all happening. We look forward to seeing you all next year at Exhibitions and meetings.

The committee and I wish you a very Safe Happy Christmas and New Year

Gillian Govan
President

The Original Children -
Stanley Hammond
I have been thinking for a while that it might be interesting to have photos in the newsletter of work by ASV members or past members that we come across in our travels.

I took the attached photos of a piece called "THE ORIGINAL CHILDREN" at Ashwood High School when I was there to vote last weekend.
