President’s Note

Greetings!

“Where did I learn to understand sculpture? In the woods by looking at the trees, along roads by observing the formation of clouds, in the studio by studying the model, everywhere except in the schools.”

Auguste Rodin

Gunnel is travelling in Italy and delighting in immersing herself in its culture, landscape and art.

Notes from Gunnel.....“An exceptional experience ....the hybrid forms and resin colours created a stage for aliens ? Or morphed human forms .. her work ...3D printed parts... found objects ... and casts from her own body... enjoy!”

Marini at the Peggy Guggenheim museum.... her museum is a collection of art she purchased ....this house was also her home in Venice .... a collector, bohemian and socialite... her walls are covered with Kandinsky, Picasso, Chagall, Miró, Magritte ... etc. ... and a beautiful miniature Henry Moore. She was a philanthropist that made a difference in the art scene at the time and we can enjoy and be inspired today “.... Cheers
