Entries in - Annual & Awards Exhibition 2021

The entries for the Annual and awards are now in and we have over 100 great works. It will be a wonderful diverse, high good quality exhibition. Well done all.

Delivery & Set Up is Wednesday 2 June

As the bump in for the exhibition is on a Wednesday there is limited parking.   15-minute spots outside the building. There will be a team to help you unload and if you wish to bring the work into the gallery yourself it would be advantageous if you could bring a friend to drive the car away to park. For those of us in the eastern suburbs Carl Lutz has a van and, for help with fuel costs etc, he could transport three sculptors and their work to the gallery thus saving parking and angst... Worth considering. Contact Jenny Rickards on 0418 971 897 to coordinate.

It would also help if members in the same area could car pool.  Please be considerate of others following you and also keep to the drop off time allocated to you. This will all be sent to you in your acceptance letter.

A photographer will be present at bump in and will photograph as many works as possible on that day.

Opening Saturday 5 June 2pm to 4pm

For the opening at this stage, we can supply food but must comply with Covid safe rules. You will of course be able to enjoy a glass of the beautiful KOOYONGA CREEK wine.

As you can see as a committee, we are doing our best for you. Please help us by complying and promoting the exhibition where ever you can. If you can help in any other way e.g., finding sponsors and donations etc. please contact Yvonne or myself.  We look forward to seeing your works and we welcome non-members who are entering the Tina Wentcher prize

We are publicising the exhibition in Art Almanac, Arts Hub, Whats on Melbourne and some radio stations as well as our Mail Chimp invitation list and social media. The accompanying image is the advertisement in the National Trust magazine. Our exhibition hosts, the Victorian Artists Society also have an extensive mailing list.

There will be printed invitations to distribute soon.

Members can help by encouraging people to sign up to our invitation list - the form is on our home page.

If you can help the social media team please contact Aukje van Vark and her team. asvsocialmedia@gmail.com

As well as the exhibition in the gallery spaces there will be an online exhibition. Images will be uploaded to this as soon as we can get them after set up. Exhibitors also have the option of providing video and audio files to further illustrate the philosophy behind the works. The details page of each work will be able to be accessed via QR codes on each work label as it was for Herring Island 2021.
