Studio Visit with Jason Waterhouse 11th September

Members had a most exhilarating experience when they visited SculptureCo. The owner, Jason Waterhouse who was our judge for our Annual and Awards exhibition gave us an amazing presentation, explaining the business side as well as the practical aspects of sculpture processing that is carried out in his amazing huge warehouse area.
He explained bronze casting and fabrications and showed us a large damaged bronze of Queen Victoria that is being repaired.

He explained the intricacies of quoting and assessing public work and commissions as well as talking about some of the amazing projects that he and his team are working on.

There were about 15 of us listening spellbound and asking many questions which Jason was happy to answer. It was a very worthwhile and informative experience. Jason made us very welcome and would be happy for us to visit again.

We will endeavour to organise another visit next year for those members who had been unable to attend.
