"Drunken Growth"

The ninth annual Sogetsu Ikebana Exhibition at Qdos in Lorne is now finished.I’m glad that I managed to get there to see it as it was again a stimulating and inspiring experience.

Walking in to the gallery one gets the feeling that the exhibition as a whole reads well.There is an interesting variety of size, shape and form apparent that is pleasing.

Schmooze - Forum on Public Art and Artists

 

On  Sunday 7th October along with several members of the association I attended a public forum at the Kingston Art Centre Moorabbin where three prominent figures discussed the place of public works in our history and in their lives.. Monuments, memorials and civic statues are commonly encountered forms of public art created to commemorate a person , an important event historical, architecture or cultural heritage

Farewell to Audrey Dahlstrom

Audrey was a long term member of the A.S.V. and a dedicated sculptor.
She died on the 6th. October aged 90.
Audrey and Andy had a property at Omeo where most of Audreys major sculptures were constructed.
We send our condolances to all her family, her grandchildren and great grandson Anders. named after her husband Anders (Andy)
She will be remembered and mourned by all who knew her.
