 Lot 19 Spring Sculpture Prize

“Hi there,

I wanted to share an upcoming regional exhibition and event that may be of interest to artists part of the Association of Sculptors Victoria.

Since its inception in 2006, the Spring Sculpture Prize has been a key event in the Central Victorian artistic calendar. Featuring over $8,000 in prizes, independent judges with professional arts expertise, and a three-week exhibition, the prize is beloved by artists and visitors alike. This year will be the 20th anniversary of the prize.

The Spring Sculpture Prize is open to both emerging artists and established practitioners, with applications open through the Lot19 website: https://lot19.au/

The Spring Sculpture Prize exhibition opening will be held from 2pm on Saturday 10th October, featuring live music, food and the Lot19 bar. The exhibition will then be open from 11am–5pm on Saturdays and Sundays until 25th October.

Calling Limestone Artists

“Hello.

I’m reaching out to you to see if any of your sculptors might be interested in the following:

Toorak Uniting Church’s spire has developed some critical problems, which mean it must be urgently replaced. After well over a year of planning, it seems that we’ll likely have scaffolding going up from mid-October, and then the current spire will be dismantled probably starting mid-November.

This is going to produce a lot of limestone. We were wondering if any of your members might be interested in possibly using this stone for carvings? Until the start of 2025, Toorak Uniting had an art gallery and rooms for 7 artists onsite within the 1892 manse, Kinross House. Although the manse has now been restored as the minister’s dwelling, Artist Studio 7 - which was originally the stables - is not currently in use.

We wondered if they might be interested in using our stone, and possibly even running some workshops from the stables at Kinross House?

Pyramid Hill Art Show

Dear Artists,

Please find attached preliminary details for the 2027 Pyramid Hill Art Show.

Sections for the show will be similar to past years with the Special Section for 2027 being AGRICULTURE. This topic we feel should lead to a wonderful variety of artwork.

We will also trial a section for Printmakers.
