The Association of Sculptors of Victoria is an inclusive, not-for-profit collective of contemporary artists whose purpose is to inspire,stimulate and advance the appreciation, creation, and exploration of three-dimensional art in society.

This month's collection of opportunities is as wide ranging as ever... but as well as looking here you should keep an eye on Art Almanac just in case. Mainly of course think about the Annual Exhibition - we are looking forward to seeing your work.
Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize Entries are due 1st July. Size up to 80cm in any direction.

The Aesthetica Art Prize 2016 is currently open for entries, presenting an opportunity for emerging and established artists to showcase their work to new international audiences and further their engagement in the art world.
Prizes include £5,000 courtesy of Hiscox, a group exhibition, publication in the Art Prize Annual, Future Now and editorial coverage in Aesthetica Magazine (311,000 readership).
To date, the Aesthetica Art Prize has supported a wealth of artists who have progressed their careers since their exposure through the Award, including gaining exhibitions in the UK and internationally.
We would really like artists around the world to know about this opportunity. If you could share this news at Association of Sculptors of Victoria that would be fantastic, and your help would be greatly appreciated.

The Australian National Brooch Show 2016


The Australian National Brooch Show is an initiative of the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria Inc. (CAS).

This is the Ninth time we have held our exhibition of small wearable artworks made by both established and emerging contemporary artists. By having a theme of small wearable artworks, artist’s have an opportunity to submit works via Australia Post.

This year is the sixth year the exhibition has "gone on tour" to two venues in inner Melbourne:

South Yarra: showing 2 June - 30 July 2016

Fitzroy: showing 3 August - 29 September 2016

Entry is $5 per work. And entry is FREE for current CAS Members!

Entry deadline: Return completed entry forms, correct payment and your works, by FRIDAY 20 May 2016.

 $200,000 SCULPTURE COMMISSION EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST SCULPTURE RESIDENCY IN TOOLANGI FOREST, VICTORIA

5 - 20 NOVEMBER 2016

The Toolangi Sculpture Trail was created in November 1996 by artists from the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, working with materials found in the Toolangi Forest.
To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of this unique undertaking, Victorian artists are invited to submit applications for a 2-week residency in the Toolangi State Forest, producing site specific sculpture from materials found in the forest which will be gifted to the people of Victoria.
Concerns relating to the forests of the world are elevated today and highlight the importance of this residency.

Expressions of interest are invited for the Destination Rosebud – Gateway Sculpture commission, Mornington Peninsula Shire.

The artist will design, fabricate and install a landmark public art work comprising two elements that mark the western and eastern entrances to Rosebud.

Shortlisted artists will be invited to submit bold, contemporary and innovative concepts for a public art work connecting Rosebud with its history.
