A Letter from the President

Hope you have all had a good Easter break.

Congratulations to all who took part in the International Flower and Garden Show. I have received many messages complimenting us on the organisation, quality and standard of work. So thanks to all who presented their sculptures and of course our gratitude to Mark Cowie for managing such a brilliant show even though the weather was not on our side.

While this exhibition is fresh in our minds and while everyone is aware of the huge commitment this involves I would like to get feed back from members regarding next years show as Mark is not prepared to continue for another year without some recompense. I am sure Mark would be happy to work with another member who would volunteer to take over. While it is a big job Mark will tell you how satisfying and rewarding this has become.

We are holding our Committee meeting next week so it would be good to get some ideas that we can discuss.

In the meantime a committee has formed to start preparing for our Annual exhibition and we look forward to seeing some high quality photographs that we can use for invitations, publicity etc.

While on the subject of photographs, good photograph for your port folios can be purchased by contacting mail@sculptorsvictoria.asn.au

Happy Sculpting

Gillian
