It was a delight to help launch the ‘Narrative’ exhibition on Herring Island recently. Once again I was staggered by the diversity of thought provoking works on show and meeting fellow sculptors and guests made for an invigorating day. And I must say that Herring Island is one of the more entertaining bump-ins we do.
The Association of Sculptors of Victoria is an inclusive, not-for-profit collective of contemporary artists whose purpose is to inspire, stimulate and advance the appreciation, creation, and exploration of three-dimensional art in society.

Visit to McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Survey
For all the sculptors who have expressed an interest in a visit to the McClelland Gallery I have booked a weekday afternoon tour and a Saturday morning tour as follows:
Herring Island Summer Arts Festival 2015
The show is always tricky for getting your work ready - so a fair number of sculptors offered their Annual Exhibiton works another airing - and it paid off for Veronque Derville: ‘Free Spirits" is going to a good home.
Images of the works will be up on the ASV website soon. Here you can see some works - and some images from the Australia Day event.
