Commissions for Public Art

We received this information from Richard Holt - check it out with the usual care:

City of Maroondah is calling for proposals for public artworks at a series of sites at the new Aquanation aquatic centre in Ringwood. A budget in the order of $50,000 to $55,000 has been allocated for works addressing up to four identified sites. To download the artists’ brief and associated information follow the links from the tenders page on the Maroondah City Council website ( http://www.maroondah.vic.gov.au/tenders.aspx ). Interested artists will need to register to receive the documents.

The City of Port Phillip and Public Transport Victoria/Metro Trains Melbourne are calling for responses to a public art brief for a new artwork at Balaclava Station. I have *attached the brief for this project. Please feel free to forward it through your networks or to anyone who might wish to respond to this project brief.

*The brief can be obtained from Port Philip or, it has been sent to us, so newsletter@sculptorsvictoria.asn.au
