It is disappointing to note that the call for artists at Miners Rest involves the submission of designs prior to appointment or payment of artists. An odd omission from a sculptor.
Unicorn Lane Gallery 1st Anniversary Celebration A Blessing
Beloved in Pagan & Christian mythology alike, traditionally the Unicorn is considered a beautiful & mysterious loner; much like many artists who work in alone in studios absorbed in their practice. Spiritually the Unicorn represents freedom and willingness; very much an artist trait. The collective noun for a group of Unicorns is "a blessing." A blessing of Unicorns/Artists is what we have on offer at the Unicorn Lane Gallery group exhibition to help celebrate the gallery’s 1st birthday. Join us on Friday 27th September at 6.00pm for drinks and nibbles to celebrate ‘A Blessing’. Deputy Mayor Cr Samantha McIntosh will officially open the exhibition. The Unicorn Lane Gallery is an outdoor gallery positioned within Unicorn Lane, off Sturt Street, secured to the Commonwealth Bank wall opposite the Unicorn Hotel.
