‘Creativity Unlocked’ - Entry Information
Exhibition Dates:
30th March to 1st May, 2011.
Opening Night: Thur 31st March, 2011 - 6.00 to 8.00 pm.
Awards Afternoon Tea: Sun 1st May, 2011 - 1.00 to 3.00pm. (People’s Choice Awards presented)
Location:
Town Hall Gallery, Rear Entry, Lower Level,
358 Burwood Rd, Hawthorn Vic 3122.
Gallery Hours: Wed to Sat - 12 noon to 5 pm and the 1st Sun (Market Day) of the month -12 noon to 5 pm.
Entry Closing Date:
Friday 25th February, 2011.
Awards:
People’s Choice - as voted on by gallery visitors.
Hanging work – 3 awards. Sculpture work – 3 awards.
How to Enter:
Return completed entry form (by post or email) with payment, at least 2 images of your work and artist statement/s to the address on the entry form.
Images and artist statements may be sent separately but MUST be received by the closing date of 25th Feb, 2011.
Entry Fees:
MAANZ members
• for 1 work $25, for 2 works $40, for 3 works $55.
Non MAANZ members
• for 1 work $40, for 2 works $55, for 3 works $70.
Payment can be made by: Cheque, Money Order or Direct Deposit. Details on entry form.
There is NO refund of entry fee for work not selected.
The fee is retained as a contribution to costs of receiving, processing & assessing work. Misinterpretations of the entry form do not constitute reasons for a refund.
Selection of Works for Exhibition:
NO pre-selection will take place.
MAANZ makes no guarantee that all works entered will be exhibited & reserves the right to reject any entry. Late delivered entries may not be considered.
No reasons will be given & no correspondence will be entered into about these decisions.
Format:
Each artist can enter up to 3 works.
Works are required to stay within a max size & weight.
Hanging work – up to 1 metre in any direction & 15 kgs
Sculptural work – up to 60 cm in any direction & 20 kgs
All hanging works must be prepared for exhibition with two d-rings & strong cord or wire.

Digital images - must be saved as JPEGS & be able to be opened on PC format. 300 dpi & max pixel dimension of 800 – MAX SIZE 1.5 MB.
All images must be marked with the artists’ name, title of the work & size. (Smith_John_Sunset_Lake_30x20cm)
Each work must be marked clearly on the back or underside with the artist’s name, title of the work, medium/s used, size & price.
Delivery:
By Courier/Aust Post: On or before Fri 18th March, 2011

Please mark – ‘to be left by front door if no one home’.

If an artist fails to make arrangements to have their work/s removed from the exhibition on the above dates, after a period of thirty (30) days said work/s will become the property of MAANZ to be disposed of as they see fit.
MAANZ will be under no liability whatsoever to the artist in respect of any work/s so disposed.
Sale of Work:
All work must be for sale.
30% commission will apply on all sales.
Freight and Insurance:
Works will not be accepted unless delivered & returned free of all freight & other charges. Return freight must be included when sending work by courier. No payment will be made by MAANZ to return works not collected by the
specified date. While every care is taken with your work, MAANZ & its
agents takes no responsibility for theft, loss of works or any damage, howsoever or wherever caused.
Freight & insurance are the responsibility of the artist. (The laws of Victoria apply)
