The Association of Sculptors of Victoria is an inclusive, not-for-profit collective of contemporary artists whose purpose is to inspire,stimulate and advance the appreciation, creation, and exploration of three-dimensional art in society.

President’s Message May 2010

Bronwyn Culshaw suggested a feature piece on Fay Gerber and here it is. Fay has contributed some photos and in discussion on them with her it was clarified how adversity has resulted in changes to her media, but not cessation of sculpture. A lesson for all of us.
Contributions to the newsletter from members are welcome. Nominations of members on which to run a feature article are welcome. Suggestions of interesting features on sculpture in Australia or overseas are welcome. All suggestions to me at the contact telephone shown at end of newsletter please.
A volunteer to collate news items for a section of the newsletter would also be welcome. Sections on which to contribute could be, for example, commentary on recent ASV activities, or review of NAVA announcements.
Members are reminded that we need a nomination for Treasurer, and for Publicity Officer.
