I received an email from someone enquiring about 2 sculptures to go to South Africa for the soccer world cup. I thought I would play along for a while to see how it will pan out. So I sent back a price for the 2 pieces. The “buyer” agreed straight away and asked me to contact some international freight companies in Vancouver. I checked out the companies and of course the email addresses for them did not exist. I think that everything with a gmail address is already a bit suspicious. The “buyer” also asked me to send an invoice so he could give me his credit card details. I replied that I don’t take credit card and that was the end of it. ……Rudi Jass

Dear friends, My daughters Lael and Yvonne and I thank you most sincerely for all the kind messages of condolence and the beautiful floral tribute we received in memory of Peter. We have been over whelmed by the kindness and support shown to us through out this difficult time. Thank you all so much.

Thanks are due to this winery for their continuing support of ASV functions. KOOYONGA CHAPEL WINERY is next to a ribbon of bush that runs from the Great Australian Divide down to Benalla. It is a small winery owned and operated by the Saunders family. The winemaker is Barry Saunders. 20 acres are planted with equal areas of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. First plantings were in 2000. The mild climate extends the ripening period and adds to the complexity and intensity of flavour in the grapes. See: www.kooyongachapel.com
