ASV Visit to Sculpture Co.

I wanted to add my thanks to Jason for our visit to Sculpture co. We had an amazing visit, and he and the staff were very accommodating of our large group. I personally found the ceramic shell casting process fascinating and the range of things they do, and the scale is awesome. I also would encourage sculptors who are thinking or wanting to do a public art piece or put in an application for a council project to contact Sculpture co. The company makes a lot of large scale works and Jason can give you advice on how something can be scaled up, regulations for public liability, construction methods and how much it would cost. I know myself I have thought of applying for grants or competitions but never did as I had no way to make the piece.

Also if you missed it Jason was on ABC’s Gardening Australia on Nov 7th on the ‘my garden path’ segment talking about his own work and the poppy piece that he made for the Shrine railway station. It was great to see more of what he does and his own creations.
