Notes from the ASV Committee meeting of 21 February ’24

A decision was taken at the most recent meeting to report on issues raised. Hopefully this will keep members in touch with the work and dispel any aura of mystery that might impede people talking about how things are done and how we might further sculpture in Victoria.

Paul will not being doing MIFGS next year - Yvonne will ‘understudy’ this year to understand negotiations with IMG and work out issues with Paul

Annual Exhibition

Aaron Jones is the member judge, Jason Waterhouse & his wife external judges. Close of entries 13/5/24. Opening Sunday 16th June

note scope of work and estimates of costs - propose to proceed with upgrade. Committee accepted the quotation/estimate of options in full

Newsletter

Aukje suggested it would be helpful if a reminder could be sent out about the due date for newsletter submissions. Presentation/format can be researched as/when we have capacity

Member meetings/activities

Opportunity for people to contribute with activities, meet and greet etc. John R suggested functions for new members. Refer newsletter

Renewal for storage at Fort Knox - Gillian has renewed agreement

Recruiting committee

We need more people to help with exhibition organising etc . Aukje suggested publicising the link to committee meetings so people can listen in and learn about what happens - include in dates for your diary. Some people can’t do Wednesdays - no day of the week suits everybody.
