ASV Social Media

If you are on Facebook, don’t forget to join the members group of the ASV this is where we can quickly ask and discuss things, and can share our shows and events. If you share something here- or send it to the social media team we can promote your event and show on our social media!

The McClelland exhibition was a lot of fun to do for the social media team- we had a small budget to do some ads, and we gained a LOT of followers, and interest, and even new members with our posts. This all means that more people know what we are doing, and keep an eye on our new shows. Visitors mean sales!

A great way of promoting the ASV , your work and the show you are exhibiting in, is sharing our posts. This is really easy on Facebook, but you can also copy things and repost on instagram.

If everyone posts a lot about the shows their work is in- this is all free marketing- and it will increase visitors (and sales)!

The Online exhibition is a way to show and sell your work to people who can’t see the exhibition live. If every artist who is a member shares their page in the online show to their SM presence- that gains a lot of traction in our publicity.

You can copy the link to your work and post it in your bio, or just in your post. We are doing our best to do a lot of interesting posts - but sometimes we just can’t. Being sick, or like this week - no power, no internet no phone- makes posting hard.

It would be awesome if we would have someone join the team (I am speaking very much in the royal We here :-) ) who likes to write a bit, pick photos, etc- I had no idea when I started this- so you don’t need to know what you are doing (but it helps :-) )

It really isn’t complicated as we have a program in which you can pre- plan your posts. So - do a few posts, forget about it ….

Or- be really involved, and come up with great ideas !

If you don’t want to join the team,- remember to just share the ASV posts as much as you can.

ART INVITE

I’m writing to invite you both and the SECAN folks to attend The Painter and the Paint Maker: a conversation at Bunjil Place Gallery on Friday 1 March at 11.00am

Ash Keating

You are all invited to spend the morning with renowned painter Ash Keating, and paint maker David Coles as they discuss their creative processes and shared love of colour. During this insightful conversation on the significance and impact of pigment, learn about Keating and Coles colour-based practices as pigments tell historical, technological, contemporary stories.

I hope you will join me at this very special conversation. To RSVP, please book your place via the Bunjil Place website using this link, or by calling 9709 9700

Tesselaar.

Tesselaar

Tesselaar is a large outdoor flower (tulip) show in Monbulk. It is on each year in August/ September and draws an enormous number of visitors.

In the past years the ASV has had a large sculpture avenue in the festival. This has ceased- but we are hoping to start it up again.

Tesselaar has contacted us and suggested that we visit during the KABLOOM festival next month- to have a look at what is possible, the site, and have a chat to the lady organising the sculpture part. I am very happy to go, and have a chat- but I need one or more people to join me , so we can think together, and see possibilities.

Who is happy to join me??
