Upcoming ASV Exhibitions

Entries are open for both our exhibition on Herring Island and the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show

All entry forms and information can be found on our Exhibitions Applications page

Herring Island

Entry forms and information for the 2023 Herring Island "Connection" can be found on the ASV website at https://sculptorsvictoria.asn.au/exhibitions/application_forms. The gallery on Herring Island provides a venue for one of our indoor exhibitions and a great place to exhibit smaller works in an intimate space. The gallery courtyard is a great space for our hospitality and demonstration events. And most of all the bushland surrounding and the permanent collection of sculptures provides a relaxing networking opportunity for all of us.

The entry date is required because there is an early drop off for some of the sculptures before the Christmas break.

With the current spike in Covid19 cases it is likely that we will need to take precautions during the exhibition - as in the past we will deal with any uncertainties together.

Please be careful to complete the entry form accurately as we merge the data directly from there to all exhibition documentation. Also when you receive your acceptance email please check it thoroughly - mistakes can creep in and cause embarrassment.

Looking forward to seeing you on the Island

MIFGS 2023

Dear Sculptors,
As entries for the Victorian Sculpture Prize close the call for entries for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS) ASV sculpture exhibition 2023 opens. Planning has already commenced, and IMG are working hard to make it a bigger and better event. Our new site will be reconfigured to improve the demonstration area and better traffic flow.
Pamela Irving (Pamela Irving) has kindly agreed to be the judge for the exhibition. Pamela has been a full-time artist for over 30 years and is best known for her sculpture Larry La Trobe, her bronze dog sculpture, situated in front of the Melbourne Town Hall,

As in previous years the three categories for entries are:
  1. Courtyard – dimensions less than a metre
  2. Garden – dimensions over 1 metre but less than 2 metres
  3. Estate – dimensions over 2 metres

The key dates are:

  1. Entries open – 3rd October 2022
  2. Entries close – 6th March 2023
  3. Bump-in – 25th and 26th of March
  4. MIFGS - 29th of March to the 2nd of April
  5. Bump-out – from 7.00pm the 2nd of April until 12.00pm 3rd of April.

Looking forward to your support and making it a successful exhibition.

Best wishes
