Sylvia Simon’s Studio
Sylvia is closing her studio and is offering items to interested sculptors. "I Have got a very solid stainless steel extruder and several disks with different sized holes—I know years ago I paid $200 for it but for all my hand building stuff it was great. This is the large kiln which is in 2 parts—when I bought it is was not deep enough so I had another part made to sit on top
There are underglazes and glazes. There is also some crystal in several colours and glass grit in different sizes plus a lot of wax for glass and fibre glass. Also I have several containers of different Frits."

Gunnel Watkins’ travel note
Biennale Arte 2022 | Mrinalini Mukherjee (labiennale.org)
Venice Biennale Arte 2022 ‘Milk of Dreams’ - October Pick - Gunnel Watkins Mrinalini Mukferjee - India: Honouring old techniques and culture - creating new stories
“A visit to India always inspires. Major cities showcase co-ops of young people using techniques that have been passed down through generations….mandalas, miniature paintings, carpets, mosaics to name a few traditional techniques.
Mukherjee's work at the Biennale inspired me as her work, beautiful and over 2m tall, is reminiscent of ancient Indian gods and goddesses and honours traditional techniques. She has experimented with Arabic hand-knotting weaving technique of macramé, creating shapes of divinity.
The artist fuses and bridges the abstract, figurative, nature, ancient Indian sculpture, modern design, and local craft creating her majestic surreal creatures. “
