First my concern for all of you impacted by the floods – I hope you are all safe.
Fortunately, Sale is currently exempt from the inundation and Gavin Roberts reports that all is proceeding well for the Victorian Sculpture Prize exhibition over Cup Weekend. I’m looking forward to meeting you there – in real life once again.

The Victorian Sculpture Prize is opening and MIFGS and Herring Island entry forms are available - happy sculpting and exhibiting in the New Year!
2022 Victorian Sculpture Prize
Opening this Friday 28th October at the Port of Sale and run 29, 30, 31 October and 1 November. Over 100 sculptures located in both the landscape of the Port of Sale or the Gippsland Art Gallery. Launching online and in real life at 6pm on Friday 28th.

Upcoming Alnassar Marble Carving Courses, Byron Bay
ASV members might be interested in upcoming marble carving courses in Byron Bay towards the end of the year. It is being taught by Usama Alnassar, normally based in Carrara, Italy. Prior to COVID Usama had been teaching at Tom Bass Sculpture Studio in Sydney and also at Marble Dreaming Studio in Byron Bay.
