SCRAP

We are a community group, in a Victorian regional town (population < 400), and each year we have an art show to raise funds for local community groups within our postcode. For five years we hosted the Bald Archys, the alternate Archibald art show, exhibiting caricatures of famous Australians. Last year the Bald Archy organisers changed their exhibition strategy, and Swanpool is no longer part of the tour. As a resilient community, we launched our own art show - Swanpool Creative Recycled Art Prize (SCRAP) which displays all forms of art, made from 75% or more recycled materials. In our first year, we welcomed more than 4,000 visitors through our doors over the 16 day event.

This year we have added another category for outdoor art as well, to further broaden our visitor experience - and details can be found on our website: http://www.swanpoolanddistrict.com.au/scrap-2019.html
