A lot has floated across the screen this month. Not all of it is reported here - in fact it would pay to keep tabs on the Twitter feed on the right hand side of the newsletter website. As for the rest - if it interests you then follow it up. And let us know what you find out - the good, bad and sculptural all gain from the sharing of knowledge.
*******************************Now here's a special that didn't get into the print edition of the newsletter: a special memento of the ASV Christmas party was presented to Michael Meszaros this month. It is entitled The Bruise and Marg Carey and members who were present know what it's all about.

Wine and Chocolate Festival
(Sat 30th April 2016).
http://www.wineandchocolatefest.com.au/
The event is held at Seaworks, which is quite spacious and therefore we can offer a part of it to artists that would like to display some of their art work (suitable for outside).
The festival expects around 5000 visitors with a demographic focus on persons between 25 and 45. Due to the high quality of the presented products, we will likely welcome those who can afford high quality products.

"Synergies in Steel" Tim Read & Linda McCauley
11 February-20 March 2016 An artistic collaboration of steel, form, paint and light. There is a special magic when two artists combine. "Synergies in Steel" is a celebration of the creative talents of Tim Read & Linda MacAuley, showcasing a year of collaboration, with individual works by each artist. Tim Read is a sculptor from the Bend Of Islands, a bushy conservation area in Melbourne’s north east. Tim’s passion is working with steel and he prefers reclaimed material in its second stage of life. He has been selling his sculpture at Bulleen Art & Garden recently and had an exhibition, with ceramic artist Jack Latti in 2015. Linda MacAulay has turned a gift and passion for art into a lifelong career. Painting in watercolour and acrylic, Linda’s work reflects her humour and sense of connection to the landscape. Her paintings capture the essence of the Australian landscape and way of life.Bolin Bolin Gallery at Bulleen Art & Garden
