Call For Art

Mornington Art and Oak Hill Gallery will be holding art competitions in both Mornington and Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula.
The competition will be held in Sorrento from 1st May to 30th May 2013, and in Mornington from 1st June to 30th June 2013.
We are accepting entries for the following sculpture categories:
Paintings, Oil, Acrylic, or mix, on any substrate
    Works on/with Paper.
    Sculpture and Objects
All submissions must be recent (within the last 2 years) and original. The artist will be responsible for delivery, installation, and removal of artworks (except where other arrangements have been made with the curator), and, their own insurance.
Mornington Art will deduct a 40% commission from all sales made during or through the exhibition.
Interior:   Small to medium sized artworks to be displayed in shop windows in Ocean Beach Road, Sorrento, and Main Street, Mornington. Keep in mind that shop windows provide limited protection from the sun (although we shall make every endeavour to place less light-resistant artwork in less light-exposed windows), vary in size from shop to shop, and, will be exhibiting merchandise as well as your artwork. Artists will be required to provide their own stand-alone white plinth or hanging board.
Exterior:   Large and extremely robust (ie ‘vandal/yobbo-proof’) artworks that are able to be fixed to the ground or foot path in Ocean Beach Road and Main Street Mornington and the foreshore area. There will be 8 to 12 exterior sites available at each venue. Sculpture placed along Ocean Beach Road and Main Street Mornington should be less than 3 metres high and of variable width.
Entry forms are available from the website: www.MorningtonArt.com
