In his Melbourne studio German-born sculptor Rudi Jass creates water features and sculptures characterised by clean flowing lines. The piece “column” was envisaged to be a beacon standing near the water edge, and was made for the Williamstown Contemporary Art Festival. The piece “Regrowth” was envisaged to represent seed pods which split open when burned to show a new fresh little seed inside: followed reflection on the bushfires last year and how much of the burnt landscape becomes green again, and made for the flower festival. www.jassdesign.com.au
