Food for Thought

An article by Kellie Tranter in Online Opinion was brought to my attention - you might like to read it here: http://www.onlineopinion.com.au/view.asp?article=7045&page=0

Bolin Bolin Gallery at Bulleen Art & Garden is hosting an exhibition by Ann-Maree Gentile entitled “Domestic Bliss”. Bulleen Art and Garden's program of exhibitions and workshops is always worth looking at - see more at http://www.baag.com.au/

The Contemporary Sculptors Association has announced a new website for their gallery http://www.yarrasculpturespace.com.au/

Sculpture by the Sea has spread! It now runs an exhibition in Western Australia: Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe, which will be held in Perth from 6 - 18 March 2008. And currently is showing Ephemeral Art at the Invisible Lodge, Freycinet Peninsular, Tasmania

Our progress association Wycheproof 2010 has been discussing holding a sculpture workshop to develop a sculpture garden in front of our town hall. The theme would be Found Objects with materials local to our area used. There is a lot of interest locally in sculpture and as we have just come through our 7th year of drought we need to look at ways to beautify and use areas that were once lush garden.

If you have a member of your organisation who could conduct such a workshop your advice would be appreciated. We are currently looking at funding and would need to know cost of holding a full day workshop, travel and accommmodation. If you would like more information about Wycheproof please see the website www.wycheproof.vic.au

We are looking at the third weekend of October 2008 for the workshop.
