Here are some different opportunities for members and friends.

We do have talented artists in the ASV so someone might love these offers.

ICE CARVING

Name: Dale
Email Address: dale@misterbartender.com.au
Message:

“ I’m reaching out from Mister Bartender, a Melbourne-based events and cocktail company. We’re looking for a skilled sculptor or fabricator interested in paid freelance ice carving work - creating sculptural ice pieces for high-end events and brand activations.

We’ll handle supply and logistics for the ice itself, but we’re seeking someone with strong carving or fabrication experience who can take on commissions as they come up. If that sounds like a fit, I’d love to have a quick chat and show you the kind of projects we do. And if it’s not something you take on personally, any pointers toward someone who might be a good fit would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks, Dale

STUDIO SHARE

Wanted:

Interest in artists/sculptors wanting to join a small group of others to create a land share (co-operative) or other legal entity to share land to live and set up studios in the area between Mt Alexander, Mt Franklin and Mt Tarrengower.

This would be rural acreage but zoned Residential.

The idea has been born from discussion amongst participants at the recent Castlemaine Sculpture Exhibition.

Potentially rural setting but zoned Residential and not too remote but close enough to buses, train station and main road. I have some knowledge of such land shares from living in S.E. Qld and Northern Rivers as well as Europe. The cost of doing it alone is presently beyond me and is one of the factors for others. The benefits include being near people who are creative and like minded. The details would unfold depending on who is interested but would have to be legally secure so that participants are independent and able to sell their homes if they wish.
