We cooperate as an association to advance the practice of sculpture and the reputation and appreciation of sculpture and sculptors in the community. This is regardless of whether or not we make a living from sculpture and regardless of our preferred style or medium. To this end we support artists’ moral rights, we advocate a professional attitude to the production and presentation of work and encourage the artistic and intellectual stimulation of interaction amongst artists of all persuasions.

MIFGS 2021 Postponed

Dear Sculptors,

We have just been notified that this year’s MIFGS is being postponed to October.

IMG informed us that :
“With the high-risk and uncertain nature of running large scale events in a COVID-19 climate, a difficult decision has been made to not proceed with the scheduled dates, 24-28 March 2021 for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show”

“We are exploring alternative options and dates for a show in October 2021."

This is a very difficult decision for them and it is very disappointing for us but in the interest of everyone’s safety and success of the show it is a considered decision.

For those of you who have already submitted entries we will refund your entry fees. We will be discussing the holding of an on-line exhibition. We will keep you posted of developments and we look forward to your continued support.

Please feel free to contact me on 0429575299 if you have any questions or concerns.
Best wishes
Paul Cacioli
ASV Coordinator, MIFGS
