Next meeting: Show & Tell At Gillian’s place

Gillian with Gemma Smith's - Rhythm of Sequence
a relaxed atmosphere - always -and space for some great sculpture discussions - techniques, materials, skills and experiences:

Wednesday 13th November at 7:30pm at 20 England St Bentleigh East

When I was preparing the newsletter I was concerned about a lack of material - well! Gillian has been exploring the wilds of Queensland and she has sent me so much interesting sculpture news that it’s hard to know where to start or how to edit for the space! Needless to say the meeting at Gillian’s place will be well worth attending.

“From sunny Queensland: Wherever I have travelled in this state I have seen sculptures all expressing different ideas and concepts. In the Queensland Museum of Art in Brisbane are Sculptures by Gemma Smith-Rhythm of Sequence-Interested in the dialogues and interaction between colours. She employs a rigorous and playful approach to her paintings and sculptures.

At Queensland Museum an entertainment/art installation called “Empathy Swarm” http://www.artmuseum.qut.edu.au/exhibit/“ hear more from Gillian in November
