Hi all,

It is great to see what we are capable of in organising a first class exhibition and as individuals producing such brilliant, diverse and beautiful sculptures. Congratulations to all.

I would like to thank Mark Cowie for his hard work, patience and dedication to the Garden show. We have been so fortunate to have had Mark to build on what started as a small idea that became reality. He has not only organised the exhibitions since 2011 but has brought together many sculptors and introduced many people to the world of sculpture.

Dates and Notes for Your Diary

12 April - The meeting will be held at the Ashburton Baptists Church community meeting rooms. The building is entered from the Marquis Street carpark and the meeting commences at 7:30pm. Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture

The Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture highlights the importance of the aesthetic quality and liveability of the urban environment and its relationship with sculpture, in all its forms.

The 2017 program will be similar to 2014 but we have some exciting additions.

Scrap Metal

I have just purchased a property at Balnarring. It is 10 acres and is covered by approx. 1000 tonnes of scrap metal (old cars, trucks, farm machinery etc) We are having picker days starting this weekend. Crowd Funding for Art

The Australian Cultural Fund https://australianculturalfund.org.au is managed by Creative Partnerships Australia and supported by the Australian Government through the Department of Communications and the Arts. Individual artists and groups can crowd fund projects, there is a newsletter to which you can subscribe and there are projects underway.
