ASV Annual Exhibition - Team Publicity
Hi Everyone – Just want you to know that Team-Publicity is working very hard behind the scenes on your behalf - researching, preparing & submitting some major ads, with press releases yet to fire away in a few week’s time!
So far you might have spied "Call For Entries" in Art Almanac (+ Tweets) & "Last Call" in ArtsHub this week, with a further feature Premium (including lots of pics of your work next week – where are they please??) - Reaching a possible readership of 110,000 people! Invitation ads/notices will be submitted during August, September & Oct. Watch out for a wee mention in the RACV mag’ and … stunning ads in the NGV’s ‘Gallery’ magazine & ADFAS’s beautiful ‘Artlife’ – make sure your friends see them and your libraries stock them all. ASV-ers get primed, we are going to turn on the most fantastic Annual Exhibition yet; Bourke Place is a superb venue (lots of good eateries & seating too)…and a note from Bronwyn: the entrance and sweeping staircase is very suitable for large sculptures. all in all perfect for huge attendances and majority sales!
Our slogan this month: "You and Me, Be Discovered at the A.S.V!"

Andrew Rogers land art - geoglyph |
Andrew Rogers:
ASV Member; Prominent International Sculptor, Photographer & Geoglyph Installation Artist.
There are so many stories that could be told about Andrew – an extraordinary artist he apparently began with paint then took up sculpture and other different mediums all round the world! He could be forgiven for maybe not remembering he is still an ASV member, for this year alone he has featured in three major exhibitions, showing stunning bronze & polished steel works through Moss Green, superb photos of his installations at Gas Works and presently a retrospective & maquettes with The McClelland. Trawling the internet I am even more astounded at all he has achieved since he began his artistic career – please check out the following websites and pics* to realize some of his talent! I feel very honoured that Andrew has accepted our invitation and look forward to hearing him tell his own story at our Annual Exhibition this year.

(I like the story of the 88yo school maths teacher sending him a challenging invitation which, I believe started the geoglyph story!)
