Norwegian-born Captain Frodo (La Soiree, Circus Oz) conjures details of his Carnivalesque upbringing with limb-dislocating contortions, music, tricks and engaging narrations of his fantastical existence where reality seems to blur with pure magic. A wood-fired pizza and glass of beer or wine included in the ticket price. Saturday 8 September. Dinner served from 6:30-8pm. Show from 8-9pm. Phil Moriarity Songs & Poetry @ Qdos
From his first foray as a punk clarinettist in The Slammers, through a 20 year career co-fronting The Gadflys, to current incarnation as ‘The Great Muldavio’ in, Kabaret Absolutist outfit Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen, Philip Moriarty’s musical path, though not consciously avante guarde or anti-idolist, has certainly been unusual. 1-2pm on Sunday 9 September. Entry with Festival Pass available through www.moshtix.com.au or at the Lorne Visitor Information Centre or tickets available at the door.
9th Annual Sogetsu & Sculpture Exhibition @ Qdos - 23rd September @ 2pm
Qdos Arts is excited to present the 9th Annual Sogetsu Exhibition celebrating the unique collaboration between ceramicist and sculptor Graeme Wilkie and Sogetsu teacher Christopher James. The exhibition will be opened by Wayne Crothers, NGV Curator for Asian Arts.
The exhibition dates are
