Good web site tips for artists
There is a page on a web site which some of you might fi nd of interest if you are considering setting up a web site or adding to your existing site:
http://www.artscareer.com.au/enews/artscareer-february-2012-enews-setting-website#3
The page is a Netrigistry promotion however does contain some useful information. Netregistry is a site which has grown from a registry for domain names to providing a fuller service offering web design and on-line marketing as well. The page contains an interview with Netregistry CEO, Larry Bloch who has answered some questions: What you should think about before you create your web site - such as your budget and what people who go to your site are looking for; what a web site should contain such as Google Analytics which enables you to track traffi c coming to your site; and producing web sites on the cheap with a suggestion of using off the shelf web software such as Word Press.
Netregistry offers a content management system (CMS) for easy updating and for those who already have a website; they also claim to offer a range of online marketing services that can help improve your search engine ranking and increase the traffic to your site.
