Matters arising from the previous meeting were discussed and correspondence read. Treasurer’s reports were read these can be made available to any members on request. It was confirmed that due to lack of suitable venue the Annual Exhibition and Awards is cancelled this year but will be held in 120 Collins Street in 2014.
We are still working on the website which we hope will be finished to our satisfaction very soon.
Gillian mentioned with relief and gratitude the appointment of Robert Kendi as membership secretary who will work along with John Ride treasurer and also Pat O’Connell who has offered to help Jenny with the mail out of newsletters.
Kinross house exhibition is leaping ahead with 45 works to be exhibited. Although a small exhibition, we hope this will help in promoting the works of our members and the Association. Members will be sent invitations. Enrolment forms have been sent out for Tesselaar Sculpture Prize and the response has been encouraging.
It was noted that an expression of thanks should be made to Jenny Rickards for her outstanding work on particularly the newsletter and the website
We need to organise photographers for Tesselaar and Kinross House Exhibitions.
The AGMA is planned at our next meeting when Damien Vick will also talk
