We cooperate as an association to advance the practice of sculpture and the reputation and appreciation of sculpture and sculptors in the community. This is regardless of whether or not we make a living from sculpture and regardless of our preferred style or medium. To this end we support artists’ moral rights, we advocate a professional attitude to the production and presentation of work and encourage the artistic and intellectual stimulation of interaction amongst artists of all persuasions.

Herring Island Summer Arts Festival 2018

Printed invitations will be available
as soon as pick up can be arranged
The next time we see each other the Herring Island exhibition will be in full swing.

There were a lot of late entries - and they got into the show because we can be a lot more relaxed with this one.... so don’t any of you get the idea that you can enter a week late for MIFGS or the Annual - it’s just not like that!

We have forty odd works in the show and a great range of media. Thank you to all the exhibiting artists - well done - now to get the show on the water!

The official description of our event is here: http://www.herringislandfestival.org.au/p/14-to-29-january.htm - and yes we will have music at our opening.

Anyone wishing to run a demonstration event on January 26 or any other time the show is open please contact Jenny Rickards 0418 971 897.

The exhibitors are looking forward to seeing you on the island - just hanging out and enjoying the bush ambience.
