The November Meeting

We had a great gathering in November - Gillian’s wonderful hospitality combined with some amazing sculpture to discuss. We were happy to meet new member Ilona Herreiner who travelled “across town” to be there.
Marija Patterson "Waiting"

The wonders of technology liberated by John Bishop enabled Marija Patterson to show pictures on Gillian’s big screen. The images were from Marija’s exhibition “Figures and Facades” part of the Melbourne East Arts Festival. Marija explored her mother’s journey as a wartime immigrant and an exceptional person.

The ASV Christmas Party

Marg and Don Carey hosted a great little party on 1st December. The weather changed the agenda a little - there was still a quick tour of the garden, but also plenty of chat in the kitchen and music at the piano.

So Marija and Jenny got to talking about how sculptors have to triage their time... And next year our end of year bash might include performance sculpture - like Arthur Ganson’s sculpture racing. Check the link http://sculptureracing.org/about/the-inspiration-world-sculpture-racing/arthur-ganson/
or it might not.... your call...
Kangaroos outnumbering guests...
