From the President

Hi All,
As you all know by now the Association has been through quite a turbulent period. I would like to thank all exhibitors and members for their support of the organising committee. Mainly I would like to express my appreciation to Yvonne Monik who bore the brunt of the situation. Undaunted we are already looking to 2020. We will be holding a committee meeting very soon and the future Terms and Conditions etc will be discussed. All members are of course welcome to join the discussion. You are also welcome to send letters to the editor at newsletter@sculptorsvictoria.asn.au or to our secretary@sculptorsvictoria.asn.au. Here’s to a future of pleasure and enjoyment in our creativity..

Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show

Dear fellow artists,

Next year will be the 25th Anniversary of Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show MIFGS). IMG the organising company are wanting to make it the best show ever and are inviting back previous years’ show garden winners and sites have been rearranged to accommodate the expanded show. The result of this rearrangement is that the ASV exhibition will not be located in the Central Boulevard. We have been given a site located towards the corner of Rathdowne and Victoria Street (site 77A). The site is well located and as large as our normal site. IMG are trying to create an art precinct around our exhibition so that it becomes a destination within MIFGS. With this in mind we are planning to hold more workshops as well as including street art. We will also be calling for artists to do some sculptures that would be suitable for the entrances to the ASV exhibition.

As more details are finalised we will keep you posted.

Best wishes
Paul Cacioli
Coordinator ASV Exhibition, MIFGS
