Art on the Hill and Members' News

Art on the Hill

ART on the HILL Wandin North and more..

Dear fellow sculptors,

Art On The Hill finally was able to get off the ground this year. The exhibition was supported by 21 artists with 54 works, a combination of sculptures and paintings. The gallery looked wonderful and was well presented. We had 100 visitors come through. We had one sale during the exhibition and one post the exhibition.

It rained most of the weekend which was not conducive to going out to the country. After some feedback and analysis of the social media it appears that the title Art on the Hill suggested that it was an outdoor exhibition which did not help the event particularly with the bad weather. Also the two day event was deemed to be too short.

For next year we will rebrand the exhibition so that there is no confusion as to it being an indoor exhibition and we will run over 8 days, during school holidays, so as to provide a large window for visitors to come and see the exhibition.

I want to thank everyone for their support and look forward to making next year’s event bigger and better.

Best wishes, Paul Cacioli

Anna Meszaros is recommending a new service provider who does great, affordable bronze casting and fabrication.Brendan Hackett is a one man foundry and fabricator, located in West Melbourne. Contact: 0418 595 056

‘Both Michael Meszaros and myself have used him for bronze casting and fabrication and have been very happy with the results and price. Easy going and professional with competitive quotes. He spent many years working at Meridian foundry and is a sculptor himself’.
