From the President

Hi all,

I am sure I was only writing the presidents letter yesterday. Where does a month go?

I will use this opportunity to fill you in on a few things that have happened.

As you know we had an SOS from Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron requesting Sculptures for their exhibition. Thanks to all the sculptors who made such an effort to get their work there. They were delighted. Brownie points for you and the Association. – See report below

As you will know there has been discussion about a partnership and connection with McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park. This unfortunately has not eventuated. However I have been assured that this is still a possibility. So we will keep communications open.

Como House has asked us to help with their plan to place sculptures in the beautiful gardens. So watch this space for another opportunity to display your outside work.

I have been contacted by a lady in the North East of Victoria (A new ASV Member) who is interested in organising a display of sculptures in the Botanical Gardens in Mansfield. It is in the thought stage at the moment but the ASV could be involved.

As usual through the newsletter we are trying to keep you in touch with what is happening in the world of sculpture.

In the meantime you will soon find entry forms online for our own very special Annual and Awards Exhibition.

So

Happy Sculpting

Gillian
