Born in Germany in 1964, I moved to France, as a teenager and studied a double degree in German Civilisation and Art History in Paris. Since 2000, I have been living in Melbourne with my family.
I have always been exploring my creative mind through a variety of techniques like oil painting, water colouring, drawing and photography, craft, sawing, modelling, ceramics, pottery and many more.

Today I work with all sorts of media, clay, plaster, wood, chicken wire, glass and all sorts of found objects and try to achieve a final piece by using all the techniques I learned so far. Some of my works are bronzed or can be commissioned in bronze. Specialising in one medium would, in my opinion set limits to my creativity. I feel indeed that the idea will lead me to the media for the best result. In my creative journey I will encounter new techniques and new media and an endless path of self-discovery.

The environment is my inspiration and I create works to remind us of the beauty and fragility of this world.
Throughout my life I have had the opportunity to travel around Europe and in 2009 spent a year travelling around the world with my family. I find my creativity has been impacted by powerful memories and experiences and I try to record and immortalise them in my works. My trip to the Kilimanjaro, for example inspired my Red Elephant, and the visit to the French caves of Pech Merle, my Caballus.
I have been an artist in residence at Bayside Sculpture in Highett, since 2013 and find working amongst other artists of different backgrounds and nationalities a very enriching experience. I believe that my own cultural background, having lived in Germany the first part of my life, then in France et finally in Australia, enables me to see things in a different light and to think outside the box. I have been exhibiting extensively in Melbourne since 2005 and have sold my works both here and overseas.
