Ballarat Empty Plinth Project

‘I am contacting you with an artist call out for opportunities for sculptors of diverse backgrounds.

We have partnered with the City of Ballarat to deliver the Ballarat Empty Plinth Project at the newly conceived Ballarat Intercultural Garden.
I am hoping you can help us to spread the word about the project which will see five sculptors create a new artwork on the empty plinth, over the next five years.

EOI’s are now open, and we have an upcoming online information session on Wednesday 18th December 6pm-7pm.

Copper bowl

“I attach a photo of the bowl from an old gas copper, which, as you can see from its position atop the wheelie bin, is quite large.

It’s not for sale but is to be given to an artist who can use it.

I have no expertise in this area, but it seems there may be a high copper content therein.

It is of no use to moi, so I wondered if anyone from your society would have any use for it.

Appreciate any comment, good, bad, indifferent or amusing! I am in Sunbury Victoria.Bi”
