We cooperate as an association to advance the practice of sculpture and the reputation and appreciation of sculpture and sculptors in the community. This is regardless of whether or not we make a living from sculpture and regardless of our preferred style or medium. To this end we support artists’ moral rights, we advocate a professional attitude to the production and presentation of work and encourage the artistic and intellectual stimulation of interaction amongst artists of all persuasions.

Membership Matters

Thanks to all those who have paid their membership over the last few weeks.  We have tried a new way to do it this year and it has been not without some issues.

First for reasons beyond my understanding our email server decided that it would designate many of the emails as spam and block sending them.  That is now solved.  Second, the credit card payment process required people to login to the website and that had issues if your user name was not your email address.  That also has been sorted out.  Just to make sure, if you have not got around to paying we will be following up over the few weeks.

And some housekeeping - we will be reviewing the membership list and anyone who has not paid for two years will be listed as an ex- member and be taken off the list for newsletter and other mailings to members.

Do you have any documents pertaining to the history of the ASV?

For example: old minutes, letters, interesting documents about your practice. Long term members must have things tucked away that they want to get rid of. Please contact me on 0412 122 884. We want to store our history in a safe place.
