Applications for inclusion into this year’s exhibition program for ARTPark Australia’s signature exhibit ‘Woolloomooloo Sculpture Walk 2019-20’, at Woolloomooloo are now required.

With the ongoing exhibition program planned through to March 2025 now is the time to expose your work to the greatest number of potential clients possible. Please consider submitting your work to be a part of the 76 placed works in the heart of Sydney, amongst some of the country’s finest restaurants and the Ovolo Art hotel.

We will be bumping in the first round of works on Wednesday Oct 26, and then the outdoor works from Monday October 28 to the 3nd Nov at the Woolloomooloo Wharf, on the boardwalks in front of the restaurants and towards The Boyd Charlton Pool.

ARTPark Aust. has now been exhibiting for about 8.5 years and would arguably have the largest commercial sculpture site in Australia, with the corresponding social media sites.

Sculpture Tour in Italy
Anne Anderson has a friend who is an Art teacher in Queensland (also a member of Soc of Sculptors GC) who has organised a group trip to Florence in late September. Her name is Lainie Cooper and she has taken a group over from Aus for the past three years. I hope to join them for the first time. We will be studying portraiture in sculpture during a 5 day course. This is followed by a 5 day course in portrait painting, which I will also be doing. There is limit of about nine participants, I think, but perhaps a couple of our members would be interested.
The website gives more info.: https://www.adventuresinart.com.au/.

Heiti Kulmar is a sculptor who will be visiting Australia in September. He has studied sculpture and conservation of natural stone objects and has worked as a sculpture collection manager for 3 years in the second largest museum in Estonia. During his visit he would like to meet with some local artists. He has some experience in stone carving, mould making and modelling and would be happy to work as an assistant for a short period.

If any one is interested in meeting him please email : heiti.kulmar@gmail.com

For wood carvers:

Following the recent award of the Toorak Road level crossing project, the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) will soon be starting preparatory works to set up our construction site.

To remove the level crossing and build the new rail bridge over Toorak Road, we need to remove some existing vegetation. Our aim is to re-use or recycle this vegetation wherever possible.

As a local community group, we would like to offer you the opportunity to secure some of the removed vegetation for use in furniture, artwork, habitat, parks, garden mulch or other purposes.

Key information about vegetation:

Trees: available will be a minimum of 450mm in diameter and either 2000mm or 4000mm long. The trees available are primarily hardwood, but some pine is also available.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the LXRP Contact Centre on 1800 105 105 or
