We cooperate as an association to advance the practice of sculpture and the reputation and appreciation of sculpture and sculptors in the community. This is regardless of whether or not we make a living from sculpture and regardless of our preferred style or medium. To this end we support artists’ moral rights, we advocate a professional attitude to the production and presentation of work and encourage the artistic and intellectual stimulation of interaction amongst artists of all persuasions.

21st Anniversary Bondi Exhibition

Coming of Age

This October marks 21 years of Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi and it is inevitable that an important age birthday of this kind generates many coming of age stories. As we enter into the final production period for next month’s opening we reflect on the recurring themes of education, relationships and friendships that tend to feature in any narrative that focuses on growth and development.
