MIFGS 2023

Dear Sculptors,

As entries for the Victorian Sculpture Prize close the call for entries for the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS) ASV sculpture exhibition 2023 opens. Planning has already commenced, and IMG are working hard to make it a bigger and better event. Our new site will be reconfigured to improve the demonstration area and better traffic flow.

Pamela Irving (Pamela Irving) has kindly agreed to be the judge for the exhibition. Pamela has been a full-time artist for over 30 years and is best known for her sculpture Larry La Trobe, her bronze dog sculpture, situated in front of the Melbourne Town Hall,

As in previous years the three categories for entries are:

  1. Courtyard – dimensions less than a metre
  2. Garden – dimensions over 1 metre but less than 2 metres
  3. Estate – dimensions over 2 metres

The key dates are:

  1. Entries open – 3rd October 2022 https://sculptorsvictoria.asn.au/exhibitions/application_forms

  2. Entries close – 6th March 2023

  3. Bump-in – 25th and 26th of March

  4. MIFGS  - 29th of March to the 2nd of April

  5. Bump-out – from 7.00pm the 2nd of April until 12.00pm 3rd of April.

Looking forward to your support and making it a successful exhibition.

Best wishes
