Set to go - Annual & Awards Exhibition 2021

Our Annual and Awards Exhibition at the building of the Victorian Artists Association is well into the planning stage. We have a venue, a date and the entry forms are now on our website with our terms and conditions. Please read these carefully as this is a different type of venue with its own logistics to manage. But it is a terrific gallery and unless your work is dangerous, obscene or too big to carry up the stairs or in the lift it will not be rejected by the gallery. It is still our prerogative to decide if we can accept works at the time of entry.

All information and entry forms are linked to https://sculptorsvictoria.asn.au/exhibitions/application_forms

Also remember your plinths must be pristine.

You may enter 3 works that have not been in our Annual before.

Please note that if you have a mould and intend repeating the work it is an edition e.g., 1of 10.  If it is a one off, it should be entered as unique.

Entries close on 4 May

Delivery & Set Up is Wednesday 2 June

As the bump in for the exhibition is on a Wednesday there is limited parking.   15-minute spots outside the building. There will be a team to help you unload and if you wish to bring the work into the gallery yourself it would be advantageous if you could bring a friend to drive the car away to park.

It would also help if members in the same area could car pool.  Please be considerate of others following you and also keep to the drop off time allocated to you. This will all be sent to you in your acceptance letter.

A photographer will be present at bump in and will photograph as many works as possible on that day.

Opening Saturday 5 June 1 to 4

For the opening at this stage, we have to observe Covid safe rules so we are not yet sure about the serving of food.

As you can see as a committee, we are doing our best for you. Please help us by complying and promoting the exhibition where ever you can. If you can help in any other way e.g., finding sponsors and donations etc. please contact Yvonne or myself.  We look forward to seeing your works and we welcome non-members who are entering the Tina Wentcher prize

We are publicising the call for entries for the Tina Wentcher Sculpture Prize and then the exhibition in Art Almanac and Arts Hub as well as our Mail Chimp invitation list and social media. The accompanying image is the advertisement in the National Trust magazine. Our exhibition hosts, the Victorian Artists Society also have an extensive mailing list.

There will be printed invitations to distribute soon.

Members can help by encouraging people to sign up to our invitation list - the form is on our home page.

If you can help the social media team please contact Aukje van Vark and her team. asvsocialmedia@gmail.com
