We cooperate as an association to advance the practice of sculpture and the reputation and appreciation of sculpture and sculptors in the community. This is regardless of whether or not we make a living from sculpture and regardless of our preferred style or medium. To this end we support artists’ moral rights, we advocate a professional attitude to the production and presentation of work and encourage the artistic and intellectual stimulation of interaction amongst artists of all persuasions.

From the President

Well everyone. Another month has gone by and hopefully things are moving in the right direction.

We had a great Zoom session last month and hope to see you all again on the 14th October.

For the meeting we have a short video put together by Chris Anderson telling us how he makes his beautiful sculptured birds and also pictures of some unique sculptures sent to us by Marg Carey.

If you have any interesting items or videos you would like to share would you please forward to John Bishop.  secretary@sculptorsvictoria.asn.au

Please join us we would love to see your faces and hear what you have been doing.

This should be our AGM but due to Covid19 we are able to defer it and I think it is much nicer to have a happy chat. This also gives you a little more time to find a new president please.

I hope you are all able to get out and appreciate the beautiful colours of spring.

Best wishes and stay safe. Gillian
