We cooperate as an association to advance the practice of sculpture and the reputation and appreciation of sculpture and sculptors in the community. This is regardless of whether or not we make a living from sculpture and regardless of our preferred style or medium. To this end we support artists’ moral rights, we advocate a professional attitude to the production and presentation of work and encourage the artistic and intellectual stimulation of interaction amongst artists of all persuasions.

Herring Island Wrap Up

Andrew Bryant "Fragile Balance II"
The exhibition for Herring Island 2019 was our biggest yet and the proud coordinator would like to think it was the best yet... the work was diverse, all had something to say and all attracted attention and added to the exhibition.

We counted more than 800 visitors and registered more than 500 votes in the People’s Choice Award. The winner was given 46 votes - so you can imagine the spread of votes throughout the show. The winning work was Jenny Rickards’s "Meander" and second was Andrew Bryant’s "Fragile Balance II"

We sold 9 works over the 9 days - the last at 4:20 on the final day.
