The Association of Sculptors of Victoria is an inclusive, not-for-profit collective of contemporary artists whose purpose is to inspire,stimulate and advance the appreciation, creation, and exploration of three-dimensional art in society.

MIFGS Outdoor Sculpture Competition and Exhibition 2018

For more than 20 years, the Association of Sculptors of Victoria (ASV) has established a highly-regarded sculpture competition and exhibition as a major adjunct to the well-established annual Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS), which is attended by more than110,000 visitors during the five-day event each year.

This year’s MIFGS Sculpture Exhibition will run from Wednesday, 21st March to Sunday, 25th March.

ASV invites sculptors to submit work in any/all of three different prize categories of work:

Section 1: Courtyard (smaller than 1 metre in any direction)
Section 2: Garden (between 1 and 2 metres)
Section 3: Estate (larger than 2 metres)

Prize-money of $2000 and $500 and an encouragement award of $250 worth of tuition donated by the Wandin Blacksmiths Group is to be awarded in each of the three prize categories.

All sculptures submitted for exhibition may be existing or new work, but have not previously been exhibited at the MIFGS Exhibition.

There is no minimum or maximum restriction on dimensions for sculptures provided the installed work permits appropriate viewing access, and presents no public safety or occupational health and safety issues.

An artist may enter a maximum of three sculptures for display in the competition and sale in the exhibition.
